This is truly sad
Even if George Bush had lost (which I must stress again I am thrilled that he didn't), life would go on.
I would have to wake up on Thursday and every other day to begin transcribing, to feed the kids, to make sure they do their work, to deal with my sick dog (another story, another time), and to deal with my life.
Even if Kerry had won, I'd still have to deal with mowing the lawn, pruning the rose bushes, and making sure that silly patch of grass I call the back yard doesn't die out yet again.
I'd still have to drive my kids to their activities.
I'd still be visiting my friend in the nursing home. I'd still marvel at her laughing at my corny jokes.
I'd still be juggling my bills (though I do see a light at the end of the tunnel.)
I'd still have heartburn.
I'd still have TUMS for that heartburn.
There would still be beautiful sunsets.
I'd still be annoyed with things with my job.
I'd still be thankful for that job that annoys me. :)
My kids would drive me absolutely mad at times.
My kids would at times leave me completely awestruck with pride.
Yes, there are things wrong with this wonderful country (and world), but there are still so MANY things that are right and beautiful, no matter who won the election.
Now, we need to work together to make the wrong things right.
